Extended Stay America - Kansas City - Overland Park - Nall Ave.

Filthy room at check/in. The room smelled of cigarettes and the housekeeper left the windows open to air the place out- with no screens.We were killing insects late int the evening. Housekeeping is POOR. Neither the microwave, fridge, or the dresser had been wiped off. There were food stains and crumbs on all those surfaces. There was a sticky substance on the floor on the passenger side of the bed, and underneath the bed was just disgusting. The toilet in the bathroom was broken at check-in, but clearly wasnt noticed by the housekeeper, who clearly did not realize that the toilet did not flush. How did they clean it?? I had to call Maintenance to replace the tank insert shortly after I checked in. There were two televisions in the room, and only one remote which also didnt work. I had to go to the desk to replace it after I checked in, as well. What was the housekeeper doing in that room?? Finally, there were no dishes in the dirty room with the inoperable toilet, insects, and missing remote- and not much was available at the desk. There were two of us. I was given two plates, two bowls, and a single TEASPOON. Thats all they had- no pans, forks, etc! So, we ended up having to spend more on meals than we intended. The location is excellent, but not much else. A really bad experience at a really tired property. When I relayed my experience at check out, the lady had a glazed look on her face as if she hears it all the time, which I imagine she does. I did not request a refund or anything- I just wanted her to be aware that the housekeeper is killing them! Nearby activities: Theres plenty of shopping within a mile of the property, as well as a 20-screen cinema.

I would like to leave a negative star but that is not a option this hotel has the most unprofessional juvenile delinquent acting management i had called too cancel my reservation 3 months before the due time that i was to be checking in. The customer service agent told me my reservation was canceled . then i was charged for a no show 3 months later when i should not have been. the customer service agents i spoke with refused to pull the phone recording of when i called to cancel. the management at this hotel fought me real hard on stealing my money even went so far as to send my bank fake documents trying to prove that they were allowed to steal my money. this manager at this hotel is a over grown child would not listen to me when I tried to explain this situation. the over grown punk even went so far as too hang up on me. SAVE YOURSELVES TIME MONEY AND FRUSTRATION AND NEVER NEVER NEVER STAY HERE OR USE THE EXTENDED STAY HOTEL CHAIN

I stayed one night. Sure it's a bit dated but it was an OK stay for my purpose
