Left work early because i thought this was a great opportunity in helping with my job search. Mark pretty much just criticized my resume, told me that he wasn't familiar with my job field and wouldn't be able to help me with any other field then what i was currently in, then i emailed him a few times for following up notes, interviews etc. and he ghosted me. So, this place looks like it is professional and helpful but it is not in my experience. Thanks for zero guidance and wasting my time Mark. :)

Recruiter contacted me through my listing on a website. We had a long phone interview and she insisted I come in to the office next day to continue about the position. I did go in. Waited in the lobby for about 20 minutes while she made a manicure appointment very loudly on speaker phone. Interviewed me again. Said she did not remember anything I said on the phone the day before because she talks to so many people. Said she couldn't possibly submit me for the position because of last position - all information we had discussed the day before. Not my first confusing experience with Spencer Reed - thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt. Last time.

Received an email back indicating they wanted to interview me for a position I applied for. Great! Called the recruiter, left a voicemail, emailed back, both within the hour. Called again 4 hours later. Nothing. About 30 minutes later received a callback from Joy, the recruiter. She wanted to tell me that, she didn’t have anything currently for me. Hmmmm. I thought you wanted to interview me? You had me fill out an application in preparation for the interview. You asked me to schedule a date and time with you. Nope, nothing available. Well what about the job I actually applied for? “They’re looking for someone who is an exact fit for the role.” Ok, that’s fine and dandy. But what did you want to interview me for, and why did I fill out an application? “Well in case something comes up and you’d be a fit and I wanted to bring you in at that time, I couldn’t do it without the application.” Ok, so you wanted to interview me for what? “Well, what’s your salary range?” I explained $xxx.xx -$xxx.xx - “Oh no, nothing in that range at all.” Ok? Again, why did you contact me for an interview? This isn’t even bait-and-switch, like you see with most recruiters. This is bait. Nothing else. Fill your talent pool with applicants, for jobs you’re most likely not even recruiting for. In the end, a simple email stating we’re considering other applicants would’ve sufficed. Instead of wasting my time and energy, filling your quota, and in the end amounting to nothing. Joy was just about the worst recruiter I’ve spoken to in my career. She wanted to interview for a job she didn’t have, wanted me to fill out an application for future jobs she “may” have, although she explained none would be in my salary range. Even though the job I applied for was within that range, I was qualified for it (she didn’t ask a single question about my background), and willing to interview. One star, which is a gift, honestly.
