I just had one of the best dental experience! From Kaitlyn the office coordinator, to Ericka , who gave me the best cleaning ever, to Dr. Jalili! I highly recommend OP Modern Dentistry.

Very poor management, appointment cancelled without informing when called quoting no provider available to see.

My previous visit here was July 2023 & September 2023. When I returned to my appointment 2/21/24 the entire office and staff has been replaced with new faces. I am only giving 2 stars because of the Dental Assistant Erica Crockett. She was kind and professional and so helpful. THANK YOU for your professionalism and kindness Erica! However the horrible, unprofessional and NO chair side manner Dentist Mahzad Jalili, DDS was another story!!! First, as a new doctor/dentist comes into your exam room, they generally will intorduce themselves and chat a bit pror to your oral exam. Not this Dentist Mahzad Jalili, DDS!!! This horrible dentist came in, nothing was said. Not even a hello!!! This horrible Dentist Mahzad Jalili, DDS, grabbed instruments to start examining me. Dentist barely spoke to or directed the dental assistant Erica as to what she was doing or where she was going in the oral exam. All I can say is that this dentist doesn't care for you or you gums as a patient. She was HEAVY handed as she pushed down with full force on my gums to measure any so called "Deep pockets". It was so bad that I started tearing up while being examed. The dental assistant noticed my tears and gave me a tissue. I was trying to be patient and understanding of this being a NEW Dentist in this office. But I should of STOPPED her, complained about her heavy hands and the pain it caused my gums/mouth. I let her violate me to check my gums and she mentioned I had very DEEP pockets. Which I could see with how hard and far down she was forceully pushing against my gums. After calling out the pocket numbers and the dental assistant charting. The dental assistant said she would go out to talk to someone about the potential need for treatment. Erica mentioned that the Dentist was supposed to go over her findings and discuss while she left. WELL, I was in disbielf of the exam and how I felt VIOLATED.Whiel Erica was gone from the exam room this DENTIST didn't even talk to me about the findings and what she thought treatment needed to be. After maybe 2, 3 or 5 minutes this Dentist Mahzad Jalili, DDS, got up and left the room. The Dental assistant/Erica came back and asked if Dentist Jalili went over the exam, her findigs and the potential next steps? I told her NO, how unhappy I was with the treatment and the unprofessional, horrible and harsh exam. Dental Assistant/Erica, asked if I still wanted to get my teeth cleaned and that they could numb me for that. First, I have never needed to be numbed for a cleaning before, but after the exam and how sensitive my gums were, I would have. I was NOT letting this DENTIST touch me again. I told Erica/DA I wanted another opinion. I wanted my records transferred to another dentist ASAP. Erica/DA apologized for the new dentist, her behavior, the fact that she (Erica) could see and tell I was uncomfortable but the dentist didn't care. This was shocking to me!!! I've been coming to this office for several years and after July 2023 the office has gone through so many turnovers. I hate this DENTIST!!! Dentist Mahzad Jalili, DDS needs to learn how to be kind and pick up on chair side manners for dental patients. ZERO STARS for Dentist Mahzad Jalili, DDS!!! I transferred my entire family to "Your Olathe Dentist" and they were kind, professional and my hygentist looked at my records from the Feb 21, 2024 visit and didn't understand where the deep pocket numbers came from. My gum swelling went down from that Feb 21, 2024 visit from the HEAVY HANDS of Dentist Mahzad Jalili, DDS. I will tell EVERYONE I know NOT to go to Overland Park Modern Dentistry or Dentist Mahzad Jalili, DDS!!!
