Thank you for providing a nice place to camp for free. Sites are well spaced for privacy and peace. On a weekday, you may be the only one here. Concrete tables at various sites and a vault toilet nearby.

Carnahan Creek has been affected by the drought, just like Tuttle Creek. It's still beautiful though and Carnahan Road that you take to get to the Creek turn off is a classic Flint Hills Road. Beautiful with hills on top of hills, curves and more curves. There is an old 1800's church and graveyard on the way back to the Creek basin. A nice little side trip. Playground: No playground. No "picnic area". Definitely dog friendly. Wide open Kansas space with no one else around.
