The staff and the director Brooke is awesome and very attentive. It's very hard being a 1st time mom and sending my baby to daycare but I highly recommend la petite on ridgeview Rd.

Wanted to share and give a great big thank you to the staff at La Petite on N. Ridgeview. We were put in a position where we needed to locate a new daycare quickly after our prior center closed. Sometimes in life, the stressful situations can result in a blessing. My daughter looks forward to her school day and speaks highly of all of her teachers and directors that she has the pleasure to interact with. The activities this center creates for the children encourage exploration of new concepts in a interactive group setting. Her absolutely AMAZING, sweet and loving teacher Miss. Cheyenne makes each and every child a priority in her day. She keeps me up to date in real time on the centers app with meals, naps and daily photo/videos. This means so much because it allows me experience the fun all of the children had during the school day. Cheyenne is organized, structured and keeps the children on a schedule so they know what to expect during their day. Thank you for making my child feel so welcome each and every time we walk through your doors.

Update 2023: Unfortunately I had to remove my 4 yr old from this daycare very abruptly due to safety concerns. Sadly the care at this location has declined for the past couple years and has only been made worse since Ms. Jami left as director. I've made multiple complaints regarding two teachers, Cheyenne and Yanessa, based of how their lack of supervision and treatment of children. I've always made this complaints in person directly to the director, assistance director, or whoever was the lead for the day which was often Ms. Alex. One day I came to pick me daughter up and there was a man and a dog walking near the fence interacting with the kids on the playground. Ms. Cheyenne who was responsible for supervising the children had her back to them and had no idea. I yelled for Ms. Jill and she ran outside to handle the situation. It was at that time that I informed the daycare that Ms. Cheyenne is not to supervise my child due to her lack of supervision, patience with children, and not prioritizing the safety of the kids. I was promised that she would NOT have contact with my child. It was not long after that incident that I received a phone call informing me that my daughter was very upset and the staff was unable to calm her down. When I arrived my daughter informed me that Ms. Cheyenne had picked her up off of her feet and carried her across the playground because she refused to re-enter the building. I filed a formal complaint and asked that the camera be reviewed. I spoke with the director and the branch director. Neither acknowledge my daughter's feeling regarding an untrusted adult picking her up and taking away her autonomy. As a school social worker I am well aware of how events that seem insignificant to adults can have a traumatic to a child. The branch director was to busy trying to appease me and my feelings rather than address the emotional harm that was caused to my daughter. I was told that this was not a fireable offense despite the previous complaints I reported on this teacher to include not appropriately redirecting a child and walking up behind him and pick him up off his feet without his consent or him even knowing what was happening. They didn't have plans to move her to another location either. So sadly, my child who has spent nearly her entire life at this facility had to leave her teachers and friends due to the daycare's reluctance to deal with a teacher. Essentially, there is such a daycare teacher shortage that this center as well as others are hiring bodies to stay in ratio rather than hiring quality candidates that are knowledge about children. In a separate incident before I had to call the daycare to inform them that I witnessed Ms. Yanessa wiping tables, not supervising the children on the carpet, allowing children to run through the room and at one point a child hit my daughter in her back with book. I've also witnessed her blatant favoritism towards her own child and treating other children unfairly because she didn't want her kid to have a tantrum. I've reported it all. I've been told by former employees that the teachers are "afraid" of me. Despite me never being aggressive with them, speaking disrespectfully towards them, etc. I have high expectations for my child and higher expectations for the people I am paying to care for her. Since I am well educated in the field I can only assume they were "afraid" because I reported all of their misdeeds and I didn't allow them to speak for or over my daughter when an incident occurred. We will miss Ms. Jami, Ms. Alex and Ms. Brooke a lot but after more than a year of giving this daycare grace I could no longer risk my child's wellbeing due to their poor staffing and training. The lack of common sense at this facility is astounding. The teachers are not educated in child development and have little care for the safety and supervision of children.

My husband and I feel very lucky to have such an amazing daycare. We trust the whole team with our daughter and future children! They all have gone above and beyond to make our daughter feel as comfortable as she is at home. She always talks about what she learned that day from her teacher(Ms. Amber)! I have personally looked at the live view of my daughters class room and saw how loving and passionate Ms. Amber is with all of the kids which makes me feel so comfortable as a mother. We are so blessed to have la petite as our second family! Would highly recommend
