The McPherson Inn at McPherson Kansas

Horrible experience! Room was filthy and sheets and curtains stained. The hotel looks absolutely nothing like the photos online. Others rooms that were offered to switch to were just as disgusting as the first if not worse. We were told to call the next morning for a refund as we left and went to another hotel. Attempted several times to contact and left voicemails with nothing in return. Would definitely not recommend this hotel at all.

Terrible experience with McPherson Inn. Came last minute to visit family and they had a last minute special on their website. Upon arriving they told us that was invalid and accused us of making up the price. They refused to honor the price paid on their website. (The special is still on their website-so don't utilize that) We were charged an additional $77 dollars for a room, refunded the website price minus taxes which they refused to refund. The room was disgusting and the blinds did not even close-had street light in the room all night. Poor customer service, poor quality stay.

Reviews on different sites were hit or miss for this hotel. I booked it because it was budget friendly and had varied expectations going in knowing that there were such a wide variety of reviews. I was pleasantly surprised and it was not what I was expecting! The room was nice, there were some stains on the curtain but nothing that was overly noticeable or caused problems with our stay. The pool was emptied at the time, but was told there was an agreement with a hotel across the way for use. We opted not to since it was a cold outside and we didn't want to walk over with the kids in the weather. The staff that I interacted with were all friendly and helpful. When we went down to grab breakfast in the morning I was going to ask for another towel and more shampoo, but no one was down there and I didn't see a bell or anything to try and get anyone's attention so we just shared and made do. Breakfast was perfect for a family with kids and was easy. I liked that they had water bottles and coffee/tea available all day. This made it easy to grab a bottle of water for everyone on the way out for the day. Overall this hotel surprised me and will definitely be one that we keep in mind next time we are in the area. Rooms: The room was nice and seemed somewhat updated. I love that it had a larger mini fridge that could actually be used! Safety: There was plenty of lighting in the area and we didn't feel unsafe at all. Walkability: This hotel was very close to several stores and restaurants that cold easily be walked to. Food & drinks: Breakfast was perfect for us and the kids. Easy to grab items that the kids will actually eat!
