This church provided me with some assistance and even did meet me. But I felt a lot of judgement and criticism while they were at it. I never met or spoke to any staff but 1 person who obviously did not like me. I was going to try and stay here in Mcpherson, but I'm looking for a community which does not judge me, which will employ me and let me be a good citizen. Yes people are so cruel and judging they do not ALLOW you to be a good Christian or citizen or anything. I think churches need a lot of feedback of how they wound people deeply. A lot of people are leaving Christianity and it's not because of Jesus - it's because churches can be hurtful. In order to even visit a church a person has to feel welcome to come through the door! I have not felt welcome in Mcpherson as a whole but mostly it's because it's churches were not welcoming. I tried to explain how I felt to a staff member but all she could do was point her finger. I found NO COMPASSION. I am brand new and having a very hard time - I spoke to this staff member in tears. And SHE BLAMED ME. Jesus asked for His Gospel to be spread - not for His followers to hurt those already hurt I did report the staff member.
