Front staff was wonderful. The hotel itself uses a bit of false advertising to lure customers. The pictures on the website for the rooms at this location show a walk-in shower. Getting there, you'll see they're all regular tubs.
When asking the front desk about this, they said the only walk in showers they had were in accessible rooms for those with wheelchairs, etc. As this was more a corporate issue, I sent a message to Marriott to make sure they were aware, in which they just forwarded the message to the local hotel and no-one ever responded. Seems they're ok with this.
Fixtures in the room were loose (specifically the shower hardware), there was damage to the walls for the sliding bathroom door, and the layout with the TV (which was small even by hotel standards) made it so you couldn't watch it comfortably from the bed or the couch.
Breakfast was not great. The eggs and sausage were soggy, as they had mass amount of water in the trays. The bacon the day prior ran out before the end of breakfast service and was not refilled.
For the price and location, I expected more than a run of the mill hotel. The area is great, but this hotel does not match the standards and quality of the surrounding area.
Next trip to the area we'll likely stay in the Hyatt at the other side of the Lenexa Center area.
I do not recommend this hotel. This is disappointing to say, as I've enjoyed every other Marriott hotel I've stayed in.

Newer hotel with very spacious and nice rooms. Good breakfast included. Entrance is on a main street, so it is a little difficult to park for checking in. Free parking garage in the back. Conveniently located near several restaurants. Easy access off Interstate 435.

Very nice rooms. Good night's sleep. Friendly & helpful staff. Nice breakfast bar.
