Stopped in a few weeks ago, not sure what sort of dress I wanted. In my naivety I didn't factor needing an appointment! Thankfully, two brides that were scheduled for the 3PM spots no called/no showed and Hannah was able to fit me in! She was really lovely to work with, let me try on any dress that I thought I may have wanted... And she gave me advice about hair accessories (elopement on the beach, so we needed to factor in the sea breeze) and alteration services. I felt at ease, I didn't feel rushed at all and she had a lot of good information. Hannah is great at what she does and knew her stuff. Thank you from one bride to be who was a little uncertain what she was looking for.

They were super helpful and listened to me about how my dress feels. I really enjoy going through them for my dress.

The DB stylist was present but she wasn't all that attentive. She didn't communicate any excitement that I got engaged, didn't ask basics about wedding venue/vision/style and didn't ask for my dress budget. I had to constantly ask her to zip/unzip, close the dressing room door, tighten the dress with clips, etc. Often my friend just stepped in to do that because the stylist didn't do it well or was not immediately available. Once I decided on a dress, we had to prompt her to help find veils and accessories. I got changed back into my street clothes and she was going to take me right to checkout when my friend reminded her about ringing the bell and taking pictures with the dress. It was so disappointing that the stylist wasn't committed to making my moment special and exciting. She suggested to hang the dress over my head on the hanger and take the photo. We opted not to do that because it was so awkward. My friend went out of her way to help make the moment special while the stylist just stood around. At checkout, the stylist kept pushing for me to get a translucent garment bag. I told her each time that I agree I need a garment bag but because I am traveling to our wedding with my fiance, I need a dark garment bag so he doesn't see the dress. After 4 back to back attempts to sell me a translucent garment bag with my same explanation why it would not work, she stopped. Other stylists seemed to be highly attentive to, engaged with and excited for their brides. Other stylists were also stepping in occassionally to help me. The manager wasn't present to ensure we were enjoying our experience but only came over to tell me I could not stand on a chair to see my dress better in the mirror (I am short, dresses need to be hemmed) for liability reasons. Neither the manager nor my stylist offered alternative solutions for my need. My friend found a viable solution when the DB employees said there was nothing available. I chose to not shop exclusively online because I wanted the exciting experience and I did not get that at David's Bridal. I hope my experience was just a fluke.
