        Food pantry extremely hard to get any help from. Lot of hoop jumping. Wants to known everything about you before they'll will help at all with food. No emergency food help because you won't receive any food for several days after a ton of paperwork "buddget consulting" or basically shaming you and your family.

        Dont go here if you need help they will turn you away. They want you to have a list of proof of income just to get help with food. They have gotten strick. Go to Catholic Charities they are more compassionate.

      Hello Tam,We apologize you felt shamed seeking services through our Multi-Service Center. We understand many residents are in need of food and services especially as a result of COVID-19. Our services are not designed to be emergency services or same day services. We are a government agency and do require proof of income, proof of identification, and a financial assessment. Once qualified for services, residents can visit our food pantries every 30 days with an appointment for six months before needing to re-certify for services. There are many local food pantries you can visit, some that offer same day services. Due to COVID-19, their hours of operations may have changed. Each agency has their own guidelines.       Hi Linda! We apologize in the delay of responding to your review. Johnson County Multi-Service Centers have collected proof of income for more than ten years. We are part of Johnson County government and must follow a standard set of qualifications. Once someone is certified to receive assistance they can visit our Multi-Service Center for food pantry once a month for six months before needing to recertify. We are available to assist residents in need. If you would like additional information, please call 913-715-6653.
