Terri L. Harris

I don't agree that Terri Harris is pro-mom. She misunderstood my custody situation and was a very poor CCI. She listened to what dad said, even though he was a violent abusive man, with substantiated DCF claims and 2 felonies. She has a poor understanding of domestic violence and how charming they can be. She was partial to dad, visiting his home but never taking the time to visit mine. She thought I was mad about having to sell my house and was withholding custody from dad for that reason but really, everything at that time was just stressful. I saw my kid bloodied and bludgeoned so yeah, I was worried about him getting custody. I certainly didn't expect the recommendations she made.

After my terrible experience with Ms. Harris, I disagree with the pro mom post. Ms. Harris was appointed as a CCI in my child custody case. Ms. Harris completed her recommendation report WITHOUT EVER SPEAKING to my 13 year old daughter. During trial, Ms. Harris declared my relationship with my daughter was more like friends than a parent child relationship. When my attorney asked why she believes this to be true, Ms. Harris stated it was because the father said. I have had experience with many CCIs through my custody battles and others and the experience I had with Ms. Harris caused me to lose hope in the justice system. I pray she puts more time and energy into the role she plays and recognizes she has a big impact on childrens lives. I wish you the best if Ms. Harris is assigned to your case.

My ex-husband had Terry Harris when we divorced and she was a shark no doubt. Then 30 years later my son had her for a custody case with his kids and once again she was a shark. Her and her staff are truly amazing. The response to other party is always professional and timely. Ms. Harris ONLY does what the client wants, she makes it very clear that the client is the one in charge. You want someone who will be fighting for you in that courtroom AND out... contact her office, her and her staff are the BEST!

If I could give zero stars I would. She is pro-mom 100%. It doesnt matter if the mother is narcissistic, falsified information, and had kept the child out of the fathers life, Ms. Harris is stuck in the 1980s where mother does no wrong and the father is to cave and then once asked for clarification/reason on her judgment, she wants to give backhanded insults. If you are a father trying your hardest to obtain fair custodial rights DO NOT USE HER! after all her years in law it has obviously left her uncaring and desensitized to the struggling parents out there.
