Positive experience. Pleasant, zero pressure interactions. Friendly, prompt communication. Vehicle mileage was under-stated in listing by seven thousand miles but might have just been a mistake. Otherwise, vehicle was exactly as described, drove well, and looked great. Would definitely go back if I needed another vehicle.

They don't deserve 1 star! This place is also a U-Haul dealer. The location opened at 10. We got there a little after 11. There was a note on the door that said to call a number. We called it no answer. I called the number on the website, no answer. There was a guy that came out from somewhere and moved a van but completely ignored my husband, got in a truck and drove around the building. No idea if he worked there. I had to call U-Haul customer service to get help returning our rental. The lady only called us back cause she saw she had a missed call. By this time we had left, said she had gone to lunch. My husband asked her a question about tire sizes for the dollies. She got an attitude with him when she couldn't answer the question he was asking and she began to get rude so he disconnected the call. I would NOT recommend renting or purchasing from this location.

I live in Topeka and at the time this shop was the only SmartStart location I was aware of. At first, the lady was really helpful and worked with me as far as scheduling appointments on weekends so I wouldnt have to miss work to drive to Lawrence. I had a calibration appointment scheduled for 12/3 at noon. Scheduled this appointment the Wednesday before as requested by the lady running the place. The morning of 12/3 came and I texted the lady to make sure we were still on for the appointment at noon. I did not receive a text back until closer to 11 when I was already leaving Topeka. She had told me that her father in law had passed away and she was rushing to be with her husband and that she doesnt know when she would be available but would text me later to let me know. I told her that I completely understood but that my car would be in lock out in 36 hours meaning if I didnt calibrate it, it would not start. Still to this day I have not received a call, text, email nothing. A death in the family is very serious, but I would have expected some type of contact in the 3 plus weeks it has been. And this wasnt even the first time something like this happened. The first appointment that I scheduled, I drove to Lawrence and called the shop for her to tell me that she forgot about the appointment. Thank God I was able to find a SmartStart location here in Topeka.
