Bank Midwest

Do not bank with this company. In two visits, I have been treated very poorly. Customer service is better at any other bank.

I banked with Peoples for years. Bank Midwest's takeover was undoubtedly good for the owners of Peoples, but not for their customers. A fee for everything. The last straw: I finally went to a local credit union, a much friendlier and helpful financial institution when Bank Midwest refused to notarize my wife's durable power of attorney for health care (the one suggested by the hospital) as we were headed to the hospital for surgery.

Have been with the Wakarusa and 6th St branch for 8 years. Really was happy with Peoples Bank, felt there was a real personal relationship with a bank. My relationship with them started with needing a mortgage and jumbo loan on our dream home that other banks were not willing to fund due to our atypical circumstances. The transition to Bank Midwest was easy for us, no complaints. We just moved to the west coast in June and Bank Midwest was pivotal in selling our home and purchasing our new home using a bridge loan. Thank you David Bennett and Brian Hatfield for making the bridge loan so smooth and convenient in our situation. When I was closing my accounts I had a sizable amount to me to transfer that I was worried about and Brian Hatfield made this transition smooth and easy. I would recommend this bank to anyone, especially if you get to work with Brian or David, they are both very professional, quick to respond, and personal in their approach. Thank you Bank of Midwest!
