        Normally I don't write a review but today is that day. First off, if you stay here, please make sure you lock your doors from the inside. On checkout day, hours before checkout time, I had a housekeeper literally walk into the room without knocking, then slowly walk out when she saw that it was occupied. Not an hour later, they tried to come into the room a second time but the door was locked. By that time, I felt rushed to checkout. Went downstairs and told the front desk. Another customer said that her family had the same thing happen to them. Also, housekeeping left one of their cleaning rags in the room during check in. The tub had chipped paint and the caulking around the tub was definitely sloppy work. The bed, pillows and breakfast was good though.

        Booked our room about 10 days prior to the NCAA wrestling tourney for Sat night. Got a call at 9:05pm, 3/4ths of the way thru the event that they had overbooked and we didnt have a room. Being a reward member is meaningless when my reservation gets cancelled. This is actually the second time this has happened to me (not the same hotel) when booking a room thru my rewards app or with rewards points and Im about to start using air b&bs. Zero loyalty from the company but they sure want mine. Had to try to find a room at 10pm on a booked out event weekend-thanks IHG.

        Went for a KC sporting game. Rooms seem to be recently renovated. Bed very comfortable, breakfast was passable, staff were polite. Despite location right next to the interstate, couldnt hear a thing from our room! Pool was closed when we went but staff had informed us in advance Rooms: Clean, appear to be recently (but hastily) renovated. Our window blind wouldnt open, but theres not much of a view so that wasnt a big deal Walkability: Extremely walkable to the stadium for KC Sporting games. Right next to Culvers and IHOP, plus more food in the open air mall within walking distance.
