Courtland Hotel & Spa

An absolute museum hotel. Frank is very personable & shared to his guests (us) some historical background of the hotel which is very fascinating. Overall, friendly owners & great with their guests. The room is clean & location is in downtown of Fort Scott so it's easy to navigate for whatever you may need. Nearby activities: Common Ground for Coffee nearby. Dollar General for quick shop. Some family owned restaurants around. You can ride bikes or walk around.

Rooms: Super clean room with a comfortable bed. This hotel was like staying somewhere else in history. Would absolutely recommend staying here. Walkability: Parked the motorcycle right outside the door after riding all day long across the windy plains. Walked around the corner to a great little restaurant before closing time.

We loved our stay at the Courtland Hotel. The customer service and atmosphere made it a memorable and enjoyable visit. Love all the many books, the warm welcome, and conversation at breakfast. Would definitely stay again. Thank you Frank for the great history. Walkability: Enjoyed walking the downtown area, admiring the lovely historic buildings.
