Towanda is a complete professional. She was ready to transform my hair as soon as I arrived. She let me know the process and what she was doing every step of the way and took the time educate me on how to maintain my look! I even received a To Go bag with produces to get me started. I love my hair!!! I traveled 3 hours for this appointment and will do it again!!! Towanda doesnt just do hair. She gives you an experience!!! Im arranging appointments for my mother and girlfriends!!!

Twanda literally saved both of my daughters hair. My daughters (who are biracial) received a relaxer from another salon in town, the results were devastating. One of my daughters had a burn on her scalp, and lost enough hair to clog the bathroom drain. I felt helpless and didn't know what to do or where to start. Thankfully a friend of mine recommended Twanda and had nothing but wonderful things to say about her. I was nervous due to what happened at the other salon and wasn't sure who to trust. From the moment that Twanda answered the phone, she made me feel at ease. She took the time to ask questions, listened to me and my concerns. It was very clear that she knew what she was talking about and was educated. Our first appointment was educational, informative, judgement free and honestly the answer to our prayers. I was terrified that my girls would have to have the "big chop" to fix what the other salon had done. That was not the case at all! To my relief, she only had to trim a little each visit. She gave them routine trims and protein treatments. Their hair started growing and healing. With lots of TLC my daughters learned how too take care of their hair properly, which products worked best for their hair type, and most importantly she gave them CONFIDENCE! She helped them learn to love their thick, beautiful curls. She took time to educate them and taught them different ways to style their hair. She has also done their hair for proms, and special occasions. We have been going to see Twanda for five years now. We not only gained a friend for life, but a family member. Going to her salon is honestly like visiting family. For anyone that may complain about price. You get what you pay for. Given her education, care for clients, time spent teaching and knowledge of ALL different hair types I would say it's worth every penny. We will forever be grateful for meeting her.

I took my 10 year old daughter to get a relaxer and she charged me $420, yes you read that right, $420! I have been to a lot of stylists in my life and had A LOT of different services done (relaxers included) and I have never EVER heard of anyone charging that much money for a relaxer. After she told me how much she was charging (which was after the service was completed), she could tell I was taken aback about the price. She began to explain to me her rationale said she had to use 4 relaxers on her hair and said to me, "didn't you see me going back and forth to mix up more relaxers". Um, no ma'am I did not, and additionally if that is what was happening during the service and that is what she was planning to charge, she should have informed me BEFORE she started, not drop a $420 price tag on me after the fact. As an experienced stylist, she should have been able to give an estimate as to how many relaxers she was going to need and informed me of the price up front. I mean, I was in the salon the whole time while she was doing the service. I did ask beforehand about how much the service would be and she said she'd do a consultation first and then we would go from there. Looking back, I feel the lack of transparency was dishonest and sneaky. Knowing good and well no customer is going to agree to pay almost $500 for a relaxer and for a child at that! Good customer service is to tell the customer beforehand the price of a particular service and then let the customer decide if they want to pay that much. Not wait until you're finished and then charging a customer an astronomical price. Again, I was not told beforehand that it would cost this much. I felt taken advantage of. She also told me not to wash her hair following the relaxer and that she needed to come back in 2 weeks for a treatment...again, trying to get more money out of me. What a shame to treat a customer this way.
