Jim Lind Service

I've had good luck with Jim Lind service. They do appointments. And are nearly always done early. They charge what they quote. Hope today's appointment is more of the same! I go across town for them, even though there are service stations within walking distance, if that says anything

On the road back to Montana and my CEL and ETC light comes on in my Ram Promaster on a Saturday evening in Dike, Iowa. I coded a multiple cylinder misfire and was desperately looking for a mechanic open on Sunday near me. Jim Lind came to the rescue with excellent, caring service. Dayton managed to get me in at the last minute for an 8am appointment on Sunday and Kerry (the owner) looked at my vehicle. Kerry explained everything in detail and was very tolerant to my one million questions. They have seats to sit inside the gas station while you wait if you are just passing through and the conversations I had with Janet made the experience even better. What could have been an incredibly stressful situation was the best it could have possibly been. I am so grateful for everyone who helped and was able to get me back on the road ASAP! I got ripped off by this company they didn't replace my part just cleaned it and charged me $330 dollars. Took it to another mechanism because I've never heard of cleaning off a part especially in the gearbox and not replacing it. The other mechanism informed me that the part should of been replace and warned me about Jim Lind over charged prices and not doing the work that needs to be done. I paid $647 the oil change was $190 by itself and labor was $554.95 for something that could be done in less then 30 minutes. I feel so used and abuse for trusting in this company.
