Very nice. They were very accommodating. Rooms are cozy and have everything you need.I would highly recommend it. Close to some shops and stores that have something for everybody. And most within walking distance. The town is very clean.

I've always loved Solon, and the surrounding area has so much to offer - the lake trails, great dining, and not to mention the great folks that call it home! I try to get back as much as I can. Now I can stay right in town when I come to visit in a unique, historical hotel. I've booked rooms at The Literary on at least three occasions and each time has been a truly fantastic experience. On one occasion I brought friends from California and they were amazed. We ate at Big Grove Brewery just down the street. The food is equivalent to the better restaurants we frequent in California. The Bluebird offers great breakfasts and dining all day long. We went wine tasting, hiking, and took in the local sites. The Literary offers modern decor and luxury furnishings. You wake up completely refreshed. I've stayed at the hotel on my own in various rooms. The large windows offer a lot of daylight, and a perfect environment if you want to use the room for work. The duel shades provide filtered light or a complete blackout condition - always creating the right ambiance The proprietor and staff are wonderful people and serve your every need. The Palmer House - a historic stone barn (a block away on Main Street) is also affiliated. The Palmer House provides an events center/patio with loft accommodations. I rented the patio for my high school reunion and brought my whole family back. My husband and I stayed in one of the Palmer House lofts which includes a kitchen and family /dining room area. My kids stayed at the hotel. The event and our trip was a great success - we have memories for a lifetime. I can't wait to come back.

Rooms: The rooms were quiet, clean and modern. The windows had blackout shades. High quality bedding and towels. Modern fixtures. With a full stocked coffee bar in rooms. Also had a really nice place to hang and stow items during stay. Walkability: Several nice shops and restaurants within a block or two of walking distance. Noteworthy details: The hotel manager/owner was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. He was able to recommend great restaurants within walking distance. We were able to shop at the Gifted Blessings store in the hotel lobby which offered a lot of great gifts.

Came for a girls trip. Al was great and very accommodating. Room was exactly as expected and beds were amazingly comfy. We booked the room with the bunk beds and it was a lot of fun. Enough room for all of us. Shops on main level were cute and made the experience different than a typical hotel experience. Easy walking distance to downtown and restaurants. Just wish it was warmer too experience more but can't do anything about that for weather in January! Overall great experience and would recommend to stay here.
