Sunrise Catering

We booked Sunrise Catering for our wedding and are so happy we did. Our bridal party and guests raved about the food. The staff was so amazing at waiting on our guests and us. Everything looked clean, professional, and classy. Thank you to Bev and her husband for being so accommodating to us!

Absolutely do not hire sunrise. We met with them in January and explained our needs/wants with her and her husband. We gave them a deposit wanting to support a local business. Bev struggled to return phone calls, texts, or emails. She made excuses for never calling me back saying she was "too busy". After waiting 6 months for a finalized quote we decided to part ways with sunrise and hire a different company for our wedding. Save yourself the stress and tears and keep looking..

Stoled all the left overs to sell on buffet at center inn in Readlyn. So she is charging people twice for the food.

My fianc and I met with Bev in March as we were interested in this catering business that was near our wedding venue. The packages offered seemed reasonable as well. We had discussed our food preferences and optional things to think about. We were advised that Bev would send us an email with an overview from the meeting and a contract for a deposit to be made. A month went by and I didnt hear anything so I sent an email to follow up. Another month went by and still no email or contact had been made. I decided to call instead. Bev answered and assured everything was okay and we would be taken care of and she would respond to my email soon. She had just not had the time. After mid July and having no contract nor any contact made by them, we decided to look elsewhere for a caterer. Today I received notice that they decided to step away from doing any weddings that dont occur at their place of business. Would not recommend to anyone as they do not seem to be reliable nor did they keep their word.

I called a few months in advance to schedule my event. I wanted to stay on top of things and eliminate any unnecessary stress. However, working with the owner Bev was nothing but stressful. I definitely need to point out that the food was wonderful and the 2 servers I had were amazing. I have never hired a caterer before, so I really didnt know what to expect in regards to food, presentation, preparation and the people serving. The servers I had went above and beyond anything I could have imagined. They definitely set the bar (very) high for the next people, should I hire a caterer again. Bev on the other hand is very very hard to deal with. She doesn't return calls or respond to emails, makes excuses for not communicating, and felt the need to discuss her personal dilemmas with me, while I was trying trying to conduct business with her. I was also quite surprised that I did not receive any form of discount, when I told her in advance, that I would not be needing several of the things listed in the package I purchased. So the long and short of it is, I paid for things that she knew (from our initial conversation) I would not be using. She is very unproffesional, stressful, and chaotic. On the scale of 1 to 10. The servers...10, the food...10, the owner Bev...0.
