Even though I am more than a little pissed about the treatment of the company as a whole, I do have to mention that this particular store either A, did not send my phone to the company so that I could get the promised trade in credit for it, or B, did and did not alert the location who was to receive it so that they could know there had been a trade in so that they could apply the credit in the case of loss or the delivery not being made. The customer service representative asked about a shipping number or proof it had been sent, so if you are trading in a phone to this location, please ensure you get some kind of physical proof in case the credit isn't applied in the time frame you were given.

We went to the Newton Verizon in January to help my 80 year old grandmother set up an account. We've been trying to help her pay her bill, but the person in store refuses to help us. They said we need a pin to access her account, she doesn't remember it, again, she is 80. We asked if they could help us reset the pin. I've previously worked for this store, I have been able to call and help customers reset their pins. Our latest interaction took place today, 2/20, at around 1000. Where again, the worker refused to assist in any way. Her phone has been shut off because Verizon won't let us give them money without knowing the pin. We are now taking my grandmother to another carrier because this is absolutely ridiculous.

I went to this location to sign up for Verizon home Internet. They messed up the process so badly that it is taken six calls to Verizon customer service and five trips to the corporate store on Delaware in Ankeny to try to get it all fixed. I have probably put 20 hours into this process of just trying to be a Verizon customer. I should have known while I was there that this was going to end badly. The guy working was trying to help three different people at the same time instead of giving one customer his undivided attention. Obviously thats when mistakes are made. Not only did I not get Internet set up, a separate account was created and the phone line was assigned which I had later got billed for, and almost taken to collections for because I didnt know the account existed. And neither account was even created correctly. It was such a mess. They need to make it more clear that this is an authorized reselling location, not an actual Verizon store. All they can do is sell your product, they will not do anything to try to help you fix it.
