MercyOne Forest Park Family Medicine

First off, I just want to say that I really like my doctor, and the nurses that work with her have been great. This review is solely regarding my interaction today when I called to set an appointment with Forest Park Clinic. It seems the older I get, I just don't have a tolerance for being poorly treated. I'm a believer in self-advocating and try to be pleasant to everyone. I expect the same energy in return. I waited on hold ten minutes. Come to find out apparently I had the wrong clinic on the campus. The woman on the phone couldn't have been less helpful. I was perfectly polite, but it was like pulling teeth to find out what I needed was actually residency. She was very short with me, and when I asked to be transferred, she just transferred me without a word. After I made my appointment at the correct number, I called the first woman back and told her I found her to be rude during our exchange. I didn't think that she was professional, and I didn't appreciate it. I told her I expected an apology after her shortness. She just kept saying okay really snotty. "Okay okay okay okay." And I said oh, it must have been you that I originally talked to. I said I guess I'll just leave a negative review, and I then ended the call. It appears this woman has been mentioned in other reviews - I can see why Mercy has such a low Google rating if this is the sort of service she provides. I don't think she's suited for working with the public. It would've taken so little effort on her part for me to have not left this review. SMH. Why does management allow this lady to get away with being snotty to patients?

Tiffany in ob/gyn exceeded my expectations! She guided my challenging insurance question as I was from out of state. I needed a couple of annual appointments quickly as I was only in town for one week. She managed to schedule both visits conveniently back to back. Everyone I encountered during my visit was fantastic! Super efficient and great care. Love the sincerity and helpfulness of mid-westerners!

I called the scheduling to verify I had an appt. On the 10th for an ultrasound on my legs and to cancel it. The woman I spoke with didn't seem to understand and rather than try she hung up on me. I called back and spoke to a Sophie who claimed she heard me yelling at this girl which was a complete lie! IF I WAS YELLING WHY NOT ASK ME TO LOWER MY VOICE???? You just don't hang up on a customer!! I don't care who you are, this is a hospital and I could have been upset for a variety of reasons ( which I was not) but what if someone's parent was dying and they called the wrong # are you going to hang up on them for yelling? You need to train your employees to have compassion and quit being rude!! I am very upset with the way I was treated!!!!
