        Horrible cakes are lopsided and rude staff Hy-Vee is so much better Walmart only will do what is in there book Hy-Vee can create any idea you have

        Back in October, I ordered a birthday cake and was very disappointed. They did let me pay half price because I was so upset, but I go to Hy-Vee now.

        We were so impressed with the three-tier wedding cake (Floral Elegance Themed with buttercreme icing) that the Keokuk Walmart Bakery made for our daughter's wedding (July 2022). It was elegant, delicious, and reasonably priced. We dealt with Sandy (the bakery manager), and she was extremely accommodating and even set up a taste sampling for us (myself, daughter, and the groom). She also introduced us to the lady who was going to bake and decorate the cake. The baker (who I have a photo of but unfortunately do not remember her name) even ended up helping us load the cake into the car the morning of the wedding! Superb experience, service, communication, and cake! Highly Recommend! A+++ One of the best experiences that I have had at Walmart!!! - Melisha Thomas
