Where I had a problem is with the billing. I was told that Service Master deals directly with my insurance so I don't receive a bill. So when I turned in all of my receipts, my insurance sent me a check to reimburse me.
2 weeks later I get a bill from Service Master. My insurance and Service Master did not work together on what they call a "program job" so the reimbursement check I initially got was actually for me to pay Service Master.
Fast forward to today and I am still talking with my insurance and Service Master to figure this mess out.
The reason I gave a 1 star rating is for my experience today. A lady from billing for Service Master in Clive IA emailed me saying I should call her to discuss this situation.
Upon calling, a lady by the name of Lori Jordan proceeds to jump down my throat about how I need to pay this bill immediately and that I will be charged 18% interest. I am still talking with the regional manager in Cedar Rapids who is telling me to hold off writing the check and I won't be charged the interest. Lori starts into me with a bunch of insurance jargon and about how my insurance messed up and that is their money and I should call my adjuster who she already talked to so he can tell me what she already has.
At this point, I will pay the bill. That doesn't bother me. Working with the team in Cedar Rapids was great.
Lori, work on your customer service skills. You did not impress. Clapping at someone over the phone is unnecessary. Our 6 minute and 37 second phone call caused Service Master to lose a customer.
