German Plumbing, Heating and Cooling

We have found German to be the best go to place for parts or service. We had a capacitor fail on our furnace and the part was in stock and a lower price than a more distant supplier. Some time later our furnace began acting up and failing to heat properly. We had a home warranty company send a competitor to evaluate the furnace and they advised it had to be replaced. In order to get a second opinion we could trust I called German and within an hours time a technician arrived and did a thorough inspection and cleaned an obvious soot problem. He adjusted the gas pressure up to the level required and buttoned the unit up. He advised the furnace was serviceable and few days later we received a more than reasonable bill for such rapid response and examination.

When we reached out to German on a hot day and our AC had stopped working, they were friendly and able to send a technician our way the same day. Jake took care of basic maintenance issues, but also shared concerns about our unit keeping up over the summer as it was a 27-year-old AC unit that was past its prime. While not pushy, he just wanted to put the age of our unit and a possible replacement on our mind so we could plan for it. We asked for a quote on a replacement, and got quotes from two other local companies as well. German provided the best value, replied quickly, and coordinated a time to install the new unit. Jake and the other worker quickly worked to install the new unit and were completed in less than two hours, which was efficient beyond our expectations and the new unit is already pumping cold air (far cooler than our previous unit) which we are pleased with. It's a little thing that many people won't understand, but the little things separated German from other experiences I've had which prompted me to write this review, which is atypical for me. We have a one-year-old toddler who is very curious and would want to watch out the window while they were working, or would wave each time Jake or the other worker whose name I didn't catch (sorry!) would walk by. Many workers would just walk by and go on with their work, but Jake would take the time to wave back, smile, and interact with our little guy which made him very excited. Those little things go a long way, along with the responsiveness, and competitive pricing, to make this a 5-star review. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
