I recently moved to Ft Dodge and left behind my trusted mechanic of over 20 years. Not trusting mechanics in general, I was reluctant to go to a dealership. Ive had my 2014 Ram 3500 diesel in the shop for maintenance and repairs several times and Shimkat is top notch! I was treated like family. Rick and the team in the service department has been very knowledgeable and caring. Ive checked the pricing for repairs and maintenance in the atea and found this dealership to be very fair with pricing. Instead of getting second hand parts that ware out quickly, I pay a little extra and have peace of mind. The work is done right by certified mechanics. Thank you Team Shimkat! Im a customer for life.

Best service department ever! All of the service advisors are great! The mechanics are knowledgeable. Bought my last 3 vehicles there.

I might be ignorant or misinformed right now, but $200+ to revert my car's software back to the first version seems like a lot of money and a waste of time. Apparently, this software is supposed to be updated every now and then (like my computer), so IDK why they didn't update it to the most recent version. I'll have to look through some more information, but I'm able to update my car's software with my computer? In the future, that might become my first option. I hope 3/5 is accurate to my situation. If not, I'm sure someone will tell me at some point.

They were very kind, and told me what was wrong, in terms I could understand. Giving me the option of fixing it then or later.
