Medical Associates Health Plans

absolutely horrible health insurance. if you see this listed as your companys health insurance RUN. they will constantly reject referrals to not only providers but also to medication that your doctor will write up. horrendous.

This company and there doctors have been a blessing for me being disabled this is one of the best or the best Ins. I have had the last 3 years I have had Medical Assocites smart plan and I havent had any problems with them so ever. I do have a separate drug coverage plan which is also a great mail order company I use.

We switched to Medical associates because we wanted everything in ONE place. First, I must say the physicians and PA we met, and received care from were extraordinary! Their team of Nurses, and office personnel all friendly and caring. Lab staff and imaging staff were excellent, professional and personable.ABOVE TOP NOTCH Rating! 5 all day!We have excellent insurance. As with most ppl, we were responsible to pay our remaining balances after insurance paid. And sadly, no consideration would be given to us because we could not pay smaller remaining balances. I was immediately denied specialty care, which was desperately needed. This limitation was then extended to my primary care doctor AND now, they wanted cash for any visit. Their accounts/collections staff actually said we are privately owned and do not have to see you in response to my questions about denial of medical care over less than $500.
