My nightmare of fraud with Bobby Brandon and Delta Construction began on Saturday, February 20, 2021. Bobby Brandon swore he was an experienced electrician (pseudo-electrician), but I quickly learned he was not. Bobby Brandon told me he had licenses in four states, including Illinois. He provided me with someone else’s license number. The estimate seemed reasonable, and the references vouched for his professionalism, integrity, and project management. They gave him glowing recommendations. They lied in my opinion.
Bobby Brandon told me that there would be a team but by this he meant himself and my building engineer. Mind you the building engineer did not receive payment for assisting him for over thirty or so hours. Bobby Brandon arrived at the site 3 hours late and took breaks that lasted for over 3 hours. I thought things were going to work out but around 2:30 am Monday, February 22, 2021, Bobby Brandon packed up and left without notice. Bobby Brandon did not report to the job site, nor did he make any attempts to contact me. He left the tenants without heat and lights. I scrambled to secure hotel rooms for my tenants which added an additional outrageous cost.
The basement was in a horrific mess. The equipment I purchased estimated to be around $5K and the garbage left behind was insanely difficult to remove. After repeated unanswered calls/voicemails to Bobby Brandon which began at 9 am, on Tuesday, February 23, 2021. Bobby Brandon had the audacity to call me around 7:00 p.m. as if nothing happened. He blamed everything on me and failed to take responsibility for his fiasco. Bobby Brandon is not someone you should call for anything ELECTRICAL. My building could have burned to the ground due to Bobby Brandon's incompetency.
Bobby Brandon is unprofessional, arrogant, forgetful, lacks empathy, rude, scammer and above all Bobby Brandon breached the contract. Everything Bobby Brandon installed had to be removed and redone under the City of Chicago electrical code which Bobby Brandon knew nothing about. I had to hire another contractor which cost even more than the breached contract with Bobby Brandon. Whatever state, you are in stay away from Bobby Brandon and DELTA CONSTRUCTION, especially, if you do not want to be taken advantage of and swindled out of $7500 like I was. The above statements are solely my opinion.
