My experience has been that HDC is secretive, and doesn't allow parents/ guardians in to the classrooms to observe their programs. My experience working with people with DD and ID over the last 25+ years, is that rules designed to keep eyes off the program are not there to protect the participants. My loved one recently lost his long term ( excellent) classroom teacher, and nobody had the professionalism to share that information with me. It is definitely not an issue of other participants privacy, or HIPAA guidelines. The management staff have been rude, and bullying. If anyone from the board of directors would like to get in touch, I'm available.

I had recently applied for a position with this company and was contacted multiple times through indeed about this possible career opportunity, after an interview with HR it was clear that I was judged solely off of my looks and my tattoos rather than my qualifications and even though the person interviewing me told me that I could cover up my tattoos with makeup,if hired, she still chose to ignore and screen my calls and waited weeks to follow up with me she was more focused on my appearance than my qualifications and I feel very offended by that in 2024 you would think that tattoos would be more accepted, especially if the applicant is over qualified and especially if the company is in desperate need of help. They missed out on hiring a great employee and The hiring manager should be ashamed of herself for being so judgemental . I am up to date on all of my certifications and I have my CNA license. There is such a high demand for social service workers,, to turn someone away that genuinely wants to help those in need says alot about this company guess we have to fit their perfect mold in order to serve our community..
