PGW Auto Glass - Davenport

Cleanest and well organized branch of PGW I've seen so far.

It would appear that after 4 years of being a branch supervisor at my Davenport, IA location and painstakingly bending over backwards for not just the company but also our customers, that the company is declining to payout my earned PTO time. The claim is that this choice of theirs is in part to my prematurely ending my term during a two week notice that I was fulfilling. The decision to leave the company early was due to harassment and bullying from my branch manager at branch location 589. Destroying personal property of mine while I was out performing my job and then burying it in our dumpster. After 4 long years with a job I actually loved, I was forced out. From start to finish I witnessed the following things done by that particular branches manger: - Theft of company property for personal use - Failure to keep regularly scheduled maintenance of company vehicles (often sending employees out for full shifts in rain and snow with truck tires that showed steel banding all the way through the tread, at one point our main delivery vehicle was 10,000 miles passed its scheduled maintenance appointment and was still being sent out for regular delivery use) - Adjusting employee hours without informing employees (resulting in several employees being cut hours that they worked) - The manager lying deliberately to customers because it was deemed “inconvenient” to deliver their items - Emotional outbursts and wreckless behavior (abusing prescription medicine such as Xanax at work and throwing, punching, kicking, and destroying company property during episodes. As well as extreme temper tantrums in front of both customers and people wanting to apply for a job) - Threatening BOTH employees and his own spouse with physical violence at work - Failing to keep restrooms stocked (forcing employees with go weeks and months without items like toilet paper and hand soap) -Had my own pay rate cut $1 an hour during a leave of absence -Being denied personal and sick time (in recent months I’d lost several members of my family closest to me and was denied the time to go to the hospital, visitation, and funerals) -Not completing job responsibilities set in place by LKQ and playing on the obliviousness of both the customers and the company He even showed up at my apt the following morning after my being forced out and parked next to my car. These are just a handful of things I’ve seen first hand. And now because of an unsafe, unfit, and unstable work environment that forced my hand for the final time, I’m being told that money owed to me will not be paid. I’ve put forth my best efforts to see a change brought to pgw autoglass. Even now, I have many long term friendships with several of our customers. I’ve contacted the people in charge and done my best to inform them. But denying me the pay that I earned is the final straw. This is a company I loved working for and would be continuing to work for if circumstances were changed. Pgw autoglass is an affiliate company of the LKQ Corporation. I’ve kept my mouth shut for long enough. And I welcome any conversation with the LKQ president, Vice President, or pgw president, Vice President, etc. who wishes to speak to me personally and directly about my experiences during my time with PGW Auto Glass.
