I know a person who they are suppose to care for.. They keep them at home 99% of the time. Don't take them out for community events because they claim to be understaffed. She was told she would get to go to the pumpkin patch but her staff member didn't want to go so she had to stay home. She was really looking forward to it and was very disappointed.

Developmental Services Iowa, now known as the Community Network, I worked there for over a year, I truly enjoyed working with people receiving services, However the stuff going on with the office I did not enjoy the administrators. The people in the office said one thing and did the opposite. I worked my shift and other shifts not being able to go home in a twenty four hour period, I was let go because I had fallen asleep on my shift, leaving the clients unsupervised. I was turned into the registry for this but got off the registry because it was the simple fact that I was tired. No support what so ever, at the same time I accepted the responsibility for my actions, but they let me go. They did not take responsibility for their actions toward me. My supervisor Patricia Cole left the company because of what happened to me, and other stuff that they were doing to her. When walking into a clients home, the person responsible would be asleep on the couch, stuff would not be done, the home was not clean, the kitchen would be filthy, I would clean up the mess. at the same time take care of my job functions.
If I had a person that is diagnosed with developmental Services, I would not recommend services from this organization, they are not organized, do not care about their employees, and do not support their employees. With this being said, it is the reason they changed their organization name because of the poor services, If you all ready receive services from this shady place, I'd find another organization here in Omaha,
