Rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. The breakfast is good and they serve dinner Monday thru Thursday. Nearby activities: It's very close to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics where our child has been for a few weeks.

Pretty clean rooms But the rest of my stay was good. Close to UNI hospital. Very nice customer service in the breakfast area, housekeeping and front desk.

My grandmother stayed here while Grandpa was in hospital. Hospital reserved rooms with great rate but hotel charged for 2 days that she didn't stay and one day full rate in addition to a hospital rate. Can't get a manager to assist with fixing situation. If you want to be cheated out of your money this is the place for you to stay . UPDATE: After finally speaking with Dave (manager) we were able to get the double charge refunded to Grandma's credit card. Dave was very thoughtful and happy to fix the problem. Apparently there was a miscommunication between Grandma and the front desk clerk. Thank you Dave for you assistance.

The husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this place. I didn't realize the fireplace in our room didn't turn on or work, it is an actual old fireplace, which is beautiful and homey. I just expected it to work is all
