I have read the Gazette since childhood, and have been disappointed increasingly so over the past decade. You have become talentless, spineless, feckless, flavorless, and (I dearly hope) you will soon be penniless. Today your paper-thin, knee-jerk reaction to S. Adams draws my ire for the last time. The office isnt ever open, the paper isnt locally printed and the pricing and service issues make it just not a good fit anymore. Cancel your subscripts and advertising, this place is dying off.

Hi there, sorry you experienced issues with your service. We have reopened our office to the public from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday and are available by phone from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 319-398-8333 as well as 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. We print our newspaper in Des Moines, and our reporters are located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa City as well as our Des Moines Bureau covering State government. We are proudly 100% employee-owned.

Sorry for you experienced service issues. We reopened our office to the public from 9 am - 2 pm Monday through Friday in January 2023. Our Customer Care team is also available via phone from 6 am - 5 pm Monday - Friday, 6 am - 11 am Saturday and Sunday at 319-398-8333. While we are no longer printed in Cedar Rapids, our reporters and staff are in Cedar Rapids, Iowa City as well as our Des Moines Bureau. We are proudly 100% employee-owned and appreciate local support.

Thanks for your feedback. Our local news is produced by 34+ local journalists and content contributors as well as many other employee-owners who create content on deadline every day. That work has to be supported with both reader subscriptions and local advertising. That said, we realize we have continue to prove our value. Occasionally, we run specials for new subscribers - you can view those on our website or by calling 319-398-8333 and ask for our current specials.
