The safe Halloween was good. Could have decorated a little or done more but ill come back. The spooky hay rides were severely unorganized. From signing up the links were bad. To being contacted for a time. To getting your wristband and then finding where to go they had no real direction. The marshmallows for smores were stale. It was a nice attempt tho. They had hot coco and juice pouches. The haunted hayrides were a tractor pulling a wooden cart with no hay. I was seriously disappointed they are a reannactment place with no horses or old fashioned carts.. the tours were boring too. Not a good value for price.

We went to the safe Halloween which was good. The waiting on the road for 15 minutes didnt feel smart tho. Overall the businesses made it fun. Too bad there werent decorations.
The hayride was chaos from the first time i saw a post. The links didnt work. The website took an hour to navigate and add people to my account. I got an email a day or 2 before event to pick a time slot. Then got a call same day because they didn't read their emails. The day of hayrides there was a very very long wait to get our wristbands. It seemed very unorganized. No signs on where to start or where the hayride was. They were serving stale marshmallows, hot coco, and juice pouches. There was also popcorn in saloon. I got mostly corn kernals. On the way into the salon my son ran head first into a hand rail that stuck out ridiculously far.
The hayride wasnt very good. For a reannactment place you would expect horses and an nice old carriage. They had a diesel tractor that stunk the whole ride right in our faces. Nothing cool about the hayride. No straw. No spooky decorations. The whole evening was lackluster. For $15 each it did not feel worth coming back. They also posted it should be $10 for early registration but im pretty sure we got over charged.

A wonderful walk in time. Do wish they had a snack bar or gift shop of local vendors. Very clean & neat space. Picnics would be fun too!

We had the most incredible wedding experience at Ushers Ferry, and it's all thanks to the exceptional team and venue they have to offer. One of the standout features of Ushers Ferry was how easy it was to communicate with their coordinators. Planning a wedding can be a daunting task, but Cathy at Ushers Ferry made it a breeze. She was always just a phone call or email away, ready to answer our questions, offer guidance, and provide reassurance throughout the entire process. Her responsiveness and willingness to accommodate our every need truly set them apart.
The team at Ushers Ferry is not only experienced and professional but also incredibly personable. Cathy is a gem and made us feel like family from the moment we walked through the doors. Their genuine care for our happiness and her passion for creating memorable weddings shone through in every interaction. It's evident that she loves what she does, and it made our wedding planning journey enjoyable and stress-free.
We had the pleasure of working with Cathy for almost an entire year leading up to the wedding. When it got closer, Theresa took over for set-up and the day of the wedding. I can happily say she matched the positive, reassuring, professional, and pleasant energy we have been experiencing from the beginning. She was attentive, communicative, a joy to be around, and she got s*** done (which is exactly what you want on your wedding day!).
One of the major benefits of choosing Ushers Ferry as our wedding venue was the freedom to select our own vendors. This flexibility was incredibly valuable to us (financially and creatively), as it allowed us to bring our dream team of vendors to life, ensuring that every aspect of our wedding reflected our taste and style. It's a level of control and customization that not all venues offer, and it made our day all the more special.
In summary, Ushers Ferry and its exceptional team of coordinators exceeded our expectations in every way. Their easy communication, personalized care, attention to detail, professionalism, and personable approach made our wedding day an unforgettable experience. I can't end this review without mentioning the absolutely breathtaking grounds and environment. We got married in the chapel and it was intimate, beautiful, unique, and exactly what we imagined. We can't thank them enough for their dedication to making our wedding dreams come true. If you're looking for a wedding venue that truly cares about you as a couple and goes above and beyond to make your day perfect, Ushers Ferry is the place to choose. We are forever grateful for the memories they helped us create.
