Gold Falls Villa Apartments Community

So it looks like they removed my review from a few years ago, so I am redoing it. These people are very shady, especially Ashley the manager. Don't walk, run from this place. I lived here from Apr 2017 to May 2019. I will preface this with this place was a 4 to 5 star place back when Lynn was the manager. I'm giving it 1 star because I can't give it 0. It used to be great until the new manager Ashley took over. They do not deal with maintenance requests in a timely manner, they do not remove snow in a proper or timely manner, and they try and take advantage of college students by trying to charge for things they can't legally charge for. My brother and I had to hire an attorney to deal with this place. They were having working vehicles towed away without informing the owners. They also would change the rules without informing tenets. Ashley was one of the worst people I have ever delt with. They would also pick and choose who to enforce the rules on. The maintenance people would be out helping some people change their tire and call towing on others. Very sketchy people to deal with. Also, they tried to evict us for an older vehicle leaking, which was thrown out by the judge. This was basicly them trying to kick us out in retaliation for calling that state on them for not removing snow. They submitted false documents to the court; they changed the rules and did not notify anyone and submitted those to court. Ashley would constantly call and argue about how old vehicles work, basically to the point of harassment because it was constant and would interrupt both my classes and work. I will also add that Ashley would act complelty differently to other people, I had other friends that lived there at this time that almost didn't believe me until some other people started having the same issues. The issue of snow removal was so bad that Ashley would just run her mouth at you over the phone if you called to ask about it. Several of us living there had to get the Attorney Generals office invovled with it. Had to send them videos and pictures of how they just didn't removed snow after days and even weeks of heavy snow. So their is both records with the state of Iowa and the atterney we had to hire with how bad this place is and how bad Ashely is.

Lived here from November 2022 to February 2024. Cleaned all the time.just received my deposit report and have to pay. My dog tore up a small space of carpet no bigger than a foot and I was charged $600. I was charged for stuff I never touched. When we moved in, there was mold in the vents in the bathroom and low trim in the kitchen. Sink plugged up and molded underneath. The a/c quit working many times and at one point was leaking into the hallway. Washing and drying sucks, people always took clothes out directly after they were done. Smelt like weed and people always running down the halls being loud. Not good parking. I would give zero stars if I could.

Wonderful, affordable place to live. I've lived here for one year and plan to live here for many more. They have an on-site pool and dog park which are well-kept. Pet waste trash cans (with bags) between buildings. Maintenance crew is super friendly and quick to respond to concerns. Office staff is very organized, helpful, and nice. Internet is provided by CFU and I game/stream with no interruptions. Very good deal for the price you pay.
