To the reviewer who claimed that Rivermont's average SAT score was 1880, it's been a while since I checked, but I think that a perfect score was 1600, or thereabouts. I don't doubt your sincerity, but you might take another look at your school statistics and see what the average SAT score really is.Oh... I just looked it up. IN 2005, the max score went up to 2400. In 2016 it came back down to 1600 again. I see how one could get confused about that.

Rivermont Collegiate is the #1 private high school in Iowa for a reason!I attended Rivermont for 14 years, from pre- school to when I graduated from high school. This school became a second home for me, and the people at it became my second family. I am still incredibly close with my classmates, and even keep in touch with many of the teachers even though I graduated two years ago! I continue to be involved in the school because there is no place like it in my opinion. The campus is incredible and stunning, its not often that you get to go to school in a mansion. The classes will challenge you, but you learn a lot from them, and the teachers are amazing! As a college prep school I found that once I got into college I was more prepared for college level classes (in particular college level writing) than anyone else in my freshman class. This is due to how advanced the classes at the school are as well as the fact that during your senior year they put you into a college class of your choosing at one of the local colleges. They also help with your resume, encouraging and helping you to volunteer and get internships at local businesses. At this school I got to take a good variety of classes, from mixed media art to a class of Shakespeare. I was also able to be a part of their cheer leading team and even took a swing at basketball for a year! I became fluent in French and even learned Latin and developed a deep love of History. I was an actor in several plays, as well as a makeup artist and stage director and became a photographer and editor for the schools yearbook. They help get you involved in a variety of things to help you find the things you are truly passionate about and encourage you to try new things and help further your skills in new areas. The teachers at the school are passionate about what they teach and do it well. They are very easy to talk to and make going to class fun! They are always kind and understanding and want nothing more than to help their students succeed. The community at Rivermont is unlike that of any other school, it is tight knit, passionate, and has a lot of school spirit. From things like imp-tiger day (where the two teams compete in activities such a relays and tug of war) to spirit week leading up to Homecoming, the school provides a rich environment beyond just the classes. I couldn't imagine sending my kids any where else in the future, and I only pray that they will be Tigers!
