Robin is so rude and conceited! The only reason she still has a business is because she gets Google to remove most of the negative reviews constantly. 15 reviews but she apparently has the" "best cakes"" and is the best in the state and is so amazing? Been around for years? C'mon now. She wanted to charge me $380 for a 8" white PLAIN cake no decorations with molded fondant side pattern. My wedding cake didn't cost that much!! Oh I was told the cake is "only" $380 because the fondant molds are easy to use.

Robin worked with my mom and I to design a beautiful cake for my and my (now husbands) wedding! Her artistic eye and attention to detail not only made the cake beautiful to look at, but INCREDIBLE to eat!!! I was nervous that we would have a ton left over since we ordered a lot extra- but people loved it so much that they had multiples and asked to take some home as well!! So glad we connected. Thank you!!

Hello everyone! This is Robin from Le Cake Design Studio. This message is in response to a review because unfortunately I cannot reply to reviews with a glitch with google at the moment. I am replying to Odonatas review, I have never met her and do not know her name, we spoke over the phone once, also this is the only review I have that is anonymous. First, the conversation we had was pleasant, she wanted a winter theme cake with very delicate buttercream piping of pine needles, I told her I was afraid of them cracking and breaking during her 40 minute drive she had to make, if anyone knows me they are aware I am extremely cautious with my clients cakes, I never want an issue that would affect their cake. She initially wanted a 2 tier cake and we discussed other decorating/embellishment options for a winter themed cake, I suggested a sweater embossed fondant cake, so I quoted her a 10 and 6 cake with a sweater embellishment, the quote included the fondant which is more expensive than buttercream, the time to make the sweater embellishments, a satin covered cake board which I do for all my cakes, plus I added in the possible cake samples she was to pick up to try 3 different flavors with a total of 6 samples. It may have been more than she wanted to spend so then the 8 cake was discussed, so again the quote she mentioned, which was not $380, was for the 10 and 6 embossed tiered cake, not a single 8 inch cake which in no way would cost what she stated. In the end she really wanted the buttercream with the fine piping and unfortunately I had to tell her I could not make that particular cake because I was afraid it would possibly be damaged from the long drive, trying to protect the client. She said she would discuss it with her significant other and get back to me, again a pleasant exchange. I have no idea why she made a review like this, no idea. The only thing I can think of is she was upset because I had to decline that particular buttercream cake with the pine needle piping and suggest she find someone else who was closer to her because of the long drive. I have not and would never be rude to a client or future client ever. Best in the state, I am not sure, unless she is referring to an article by TLC called 50 States of Wedding Cakes in which I am named for Iowa. As every business with a google account knows, google, in very rare cases will remove a review, and I have never had a review removed. This anonymous person has reviewed me on three different platforms, and continues to change and revise her reviews, she has changed this review 2 times since she first posted it, this is quite excessive as Im sure many would agree, she has been reviewing me for 9 months now. It is uncomfortable to have to defend my business like this, but I have no choice really. Please refer to the other reviews that are actual clients of mine. Thank you!
