    I took my 2020 Jeep Cherokee to Dewey Dodge for service due to multiple warning lights on the dash. Tom, the service advisor, was honest and very knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem, fixed it by the next day, and kept me informed throughout the process. Ive always had bad experiences with dealers they over charge me and dont keep me informed Tom was very honest and knowledgeable if you need to service your car ask for Tom.

    Took my 2017 Jeep in Tuesday 19th to have 2 new Tierods and suspension done, that part went well, took 2 days. Now the funny part, I got a call from Tom saying it was done but takes up to 48hrs for my warranty to pay (never heard that before with my warranty cause used before elsewhere) and he was waiting for them to approve the card to pay my stuff, anyway was told my part was $300.00 meaning $100.00 for each, umm no I only pay $100.00 deductible whether one Tierod or both, inner or outer and suspension according to my bought warranty, so next thing I know is he took it to $150.00 I said no its only $100.00 plus tax, my warranty paid everything. So he said he didn't know why this was getting so high on payment and would call back. So he TRIED to get $200.00 more out of me, I called my warranty spoke to them and told them what was going on, they said we already approved the work and you only owe $100.00 for your deductible. I already knew all this before I took in because I call my warranty and find out if covered and my payment, so the supposedly trusted business whos suppose to be honest one person tried cheating me out of $200.00 more. Take my advise, dont try cheating your customers because we don't tell you everything we know, all I said was its covered under warranty. Now I went in yesterday only because I got a call wanting to buy my 2017 Jeep with only 58,000 miles so went in, was valued at $15400.00 I always go somewhere to get done beforehand, well they only offered $9,000 and said we can give more if you buy a NEW ONE from USWhat a joke this place is, my own credit union offers more than these people did. Gave 3 stars cause did good on Suspension and Tierods but dont like the lying and trying to take advantage of customers but got caught by one. Call your warranty people before going in.

Heres Jasons response We don't buy these cars to keep them, we buy them to sell them, and buy them to sell them fast. We don't put our second best price online upfront we put our very best price. What time works best for you to come in? This was unprovoked I was just asking a simple question that every buyer asks a dealer. I have never been spoken to like this by a dealership before and wont ever be spoken to like that. Therefore they get 1 star and a loss of a potential customer

    This is more of a review for the service department as I have not experienced sales, etc, here. I've been getting my oil changed here since I moved to Iowa 3 years ago. The staff is always very nice and courteous. And, the Dewey locations have a special oil change package which includes 3 oil changes (and a bunch of other perks) for about $200. Considering my car runs on full synthetic, it's a great deal. The only issue I have had was when I got my oil changed in 2021 and the check engine light came on right after. After bringing it back to the shop they said that the air filter nozzle was broken "due to normal wear". I had literally never opened the engine hood at that point and the only people who had were them and my home dealership in Virginia (which I had seen a year earlier). I took my car to two other dealerships and they agreed that the air filter nozzle was broken but due to mishandling. I brought this up to the service manager at Dewey in Ankeny at the time and he denied responsibility which left me with the check engine light on and no 4WD due to the closed air unit having a break. Kind of a big deal in midwestern winters. Anyway, they've never done anything to rectify the situation and I'm not about to spend $300 on an air filter piece that I didn't break. I have noticed that the service department gets quite a bit of turnover but the company should always correct their employees' mistakes. Maybe that's just how they operate in Iowa. I have continued to come back for oil changes because I bought the package and they're only honored at their locations. I believe they said there are 3 locations in the metro. I recently re-upped on the oil change package because I don't see that service manager anymore (Cody?) Hopefully, they practice more responsible business ethics now. Other than that, the people here are nice. They're always good to my dog when we have to come in. The waiting area is pleasant. There's a nice coffee machine, and they have snacks and TVs as well as plenty of seating. The staff that is here now seems thorough and more informative than those of previous years. That might be their saving grace.
