        This is a fantastic community. I was welcomed to very friendly staff upon entering the building and had all my questions answered by the community specialist. They take pride on keeping their community clean and safe. Strongly recommend.

        I have spent a great deal of time in Senior Living communities across the United States and this place left an incredible impact on me. The philosophy of care, the smiling employees, and the feeling inside the building was incredible. You really believe them when they say they will put the care and safety of the residents first and treat them as their own family. The staff seemed to be happy to be there and thrilled to see everyone that walked in. I truly believe this would be a tremendous place for anyone!

        I have been with Independent Village of Ankeny since July of 2020. I came right in the middle of the pandemic and was impressed with the precautions used for both resident and staff alike. Safety continues to be a high priority as the world opens up more and more. My "team" is not only supportive and never get tired of my incessant questions about how to do my job properly but fun to work with. I have the privilege of working with staff in every department: nursing, culinary, administrative, maintenance and life enrichment. I enjoy that opportunity as it allows me to be associated and make friends with all employees in the building. There is always laughter somewhere during the day no matter how busy we get or how close we are to deadlines of completing our jobs. I would recommend Independence Village of Ankeny to anyone searching for employment. It was one of the best decisions I made after just having moved to the area from another state.
