        The fish were gorgeous this time of year!

        Fantastic hiking trail! The overlook itself is not great - the trees obscure most of the view. However, Peggy's Trail is one of the most interesting hikes I've done in Iowa. Very little foot traffic, buy plenty of wildlife. And the variety in the walk surprised me - lots of gullies, bridges, and cool trees. Brought my dog, who had a great time. The trail is pretty narrow and steep in some places, though, and there are many deer around. As long as your dog won't go charging off a cliff after a deer, very dog-friendly trail!
