Pancheros Mexican Grill - Ames

Update over a year later. The service is extremely better. But the quality of food and sanitization of the entire establishment is not any better. Upon arriving I noticed that it was a whole new staff. Which made me feel better about choosing to come here to eat again. The staff was very nice and friendly. After we got our food we sat down and ate. And then begin to look down at the floor and noticed how filthy the floor was. I had already been halfway done with my burrito. I put it down. I think we left about 8:45 at night . Let's fast forward to the middle of the night and to this morning. Personally I have been in pain since last night..... throwing up amongst other things in the bathroom. my youngest daughter is complaining of how much pain her stomach is in. And let me tell you I have not felt a type of food poisoning like this in quite some time.... I will have to wait until they open to get a refund. I don't even know if a refund will do justice for the amount of pain and disgust we feel in our bodies. I definitely don't want a voucher to eat there again. This place needs a serious health food inspection. Disgusting! Look in the back of the kitchen it'll explain all

The last 3 times Ive been here (between 6/7pm) they didnt have queso. I get running out once, but THREE times during peak dinner hours and not having any backup ready is ridiculous! The csr behind the counter told me it would be an hour wait for queso. WHAT?! The food tonight was almost inedible the chicken was hard/cold and the rice was obviously undercooked. Everything about this place could be better.

Love their soft tortilla shells. Always a good place to eat.
