Attended a wedding here and the food and service was excellent. Good location in a rural setting but very close to both Iowa City and Cedar Rapids.

I stayed here on a cross-country trip, having no previous experience with Amana and no awareness of any of the history. It was between spring break and summer, so the area and hotel were extremely quiet. I thought it was very charming, and had a nice stroll around the area and through the buildings. There is a great store selling site-made blankets and other wares. I took home a king size bed cover that was extremely reasonably priced for a woven wool blanket, and an Amana t-shirt. The room was lovely with a nice view out the back of the building toward a creek. Comfortable bed, good enough wi-fi, and the bathroom was nice with a great shower. Really no complaints! I can see how it could get noisy if there were other guests around, as there is so much concrete/metal/hardwoods and not many soft surfaces to absorb sound. The room doors were also very heavy and you had to catch it so it wouldn't slam shut. I was pleased to find a nice and modern place to stay in such a rural location, and it was perfect for my needs.
