I've had my taxes done here for over 8 years and have never had any issues! Jeremiah has been wonderful and has always been prompt with any correspondence. The prices are reasonable and I highly recommend Altoona Tax Service to anyone!

I want to be able to write good reviews, I really do, but some people just make it so hard! For reasons of my own, completing my filing was put off. I did request an extension with this office, but honestly at this point, I doubt any of that was done back in April. Anyway, fast-forward to 6 weeks ago. We filed electronically in the office with Jeremiah and after days of not receiving notification that our federal had been received, I tried contacting Jeremiah and never received a response. I called with no answer, left messages with no return call. I emailed repeatedly and FINALLY received a response on November 20th. Our taxes were 'filed' October 23rd. He said he was looking into it that day and I never heard from him again. He finally reached out yesterday to tell me that for some reason, federal isn't accepting electric filings and it won't be corrected until January! What?!? Never heard of such a thing! In the end, we paid $400 for Jeremiah to do nothing for us. I had to take time out of my schedule to go sign and pick up my filings and take them to the post office and pay to have them mailed out. Now I wait another 6 weeks! I see my experience is on par with other reviews. I didn't read those first. I came to this office solely because I have a family member that has been here for years. If you've made it this far into my rant, lol, run!! Even the receptionist is unfriendly and her appearance is less than professional.

It took 6 weeks for him to respond to simple emails to questions relating to tax returns. The whole time it wasnt submitted, wasting time and probably accruing further late fees. I paid a couple hundred for him to have his receptionist hand me over the paperwork just so I could be the one to mail them in. Shame on me for not reading other reviews first, their experiences sound very similar. I understand things happen but being unresponsive and letting things sit that long is just baffling to me.
