From the moment you step into the inn you feel swept away by the peaceful environment. The scenery is beautiful, as you view nature right from the comfort of the sun room. Each dining table is positioned to experience the joy of seeing birds fly up to the feeders hanging outside the windows. The tables are set with lovely linens and elements that reflect nature within. The food was stunningly displayed, and incredibly delicious! The attention to detail makes every guest feel special. I loved the time I spent there!

Just enjoyed a fabulous afternoon tea gathering with the ladies in my family at Songbird Prairie Inn. In celebration of my nieces first baby (expected to arrive next month) we all enjoyed delicious scones, finger sandwiches and an array of desserts created on-site by owner and chef Barbara. From the beautiful setting, to the delicious food, and beautifully appointed interior, the Inn thought of every detail in making the afternoon so special. You dont need to go to Chicago to have a first class experience, just visit the Inn. I cant wait to go back for a relaxing spa experience! I highly recommend booking your intimate gathering or vacation stay at Songbird Prairie Inn.

If anyone mentions the words, Bed and Breakfast, I immediately send them to Songbird Prairie. I have stayed multiple times over the years with my husband, mother, and two daughters for quick getaways. The Prairie is immaculate, in a beautiful location, and provides a quiet home away from home which is welcoming and comforting. Small details are everywhere, including knowing how I take my coffee, to welcoming us on the Scrabble board. Barbs cuisine is divine (can we say homemade scones?). Efrain is kind, personable, and helpful with our food questions. This visit, we tried the spa for the first time. Wow, what an experience. Total luxury in the private spa suite, just steps from our room. The masseurs, Toni and Emily, were fantastic. My daughter enjoyed her first massage, and it will by no means will be her last. We have stayed many times at Songbird Prairie House. This was our first time to enjoy the cozy fireplace in our room. Barbaras presentation of each course is stunning and the taste is just as delicious. The bed is like a cloud and the music and outside sounds of the birds create a wonderful ambience.
