Great doctor I had my first son almost 7 years ago and he was really nice and seen me every time I was in the hospital with my pregnancy problem and and I'm having baby boy number 2 and his been amazing and nice with this pregnancy

I saw 2 other OBs trying to get to the bottom of some issues I was having. He resolved the issue in one visit and got me birth control the same day before I even left the office. Best doctor I've seen in years, possibly ever.

I love Dr. Hammons. He is a great doctor, listens to my concerns and answers my questions. He also just has a very laid back and calm demeanor. His staff is very good as well, from the nurses to the receptionists who check me in. I feel I am seen in a timely manner for how busy they always are. I highly suggest Hammons and Union OB.

I have only seen Dr. Hammons once, and so far have no complaints towards him. However, his staff is extremely unprofessional & rude. I had the ClariTest done on the 3rd for my baby's genetic testing & gender. I looked at my patient portal (thank God I have access to) and saw my test was cancelled on the 11th. In the notes it was stated an expired kit was used. I called that day to get an order and new kit to have a redraw. I was advised to come in the next day to redraw my labs. I returned mid afternoon the next day. They still had no kits. I called the day after, they still had no kits. I called almost every lab in Terre Haute to find out which labs did this specific testing. Labcorp does MaterniT21 testing, which is genetic testing as well as the gender. Hammons staff told me they don't normally do that, but would give me orders to have it done. 2 1/2 hours later, they advised me they would not send the orders and I could come in to the office and do Nexgen testing, which is also genetic testing as well as the gender. If this test was an option, why am I just now being offered it? Throughout all of this, they said they had called me and left voicemails. I have not received one phone call or voicemail with any updates during this whole process. The lady I spoke with told me "Check your phone". I told her I could show her that I have not received any calls, not even one regarding my expired lab test or a redraw. She told me her phone could show me she has called. She then kept cutting me off and telling me she couldn't hear me while I argued with her. She had heard our whole conversation until I became impatient. After 4 days of dealing with this issue, I was over it, just as anyone else would be. It's very disappointing. The staff has no compassion or respect towards their patients. I have considered finding a new OB. this is not a great experience being my first pregnancy. Again, none of this has been Hammons fault, but he definitely needs to know how inconsiderate his staff is. If our next appointment is as poor as this experience, we will be going somewhere else.
