Swolfies

Well I have LOVED Swolfies for years. It's better pizza than anything you'll find in Chicago! Seriously. The new downtown location is amazing and I tried the 16" Meatball Sub which was AWESOME! Stephen & Sue are just wonderful people who love Jesus and love their customers. It is absolutely worth the trip no matter where you're coming from. They've also opened a House of Bluz club right next door and a "Make Your Own Pizza" place for kids on the other side of their corner restaurant. Can't wait to bring my kiddos and let them at it! :) LOVE Swolfies!

Surprisingly good pizza. Swolfies has recently opened a new outlet in downtown South Bend which I went to because it was close to the library and I like pizza. It was the best pizza I've had in years. I had their special, 2 slices and a pop for $6, and surprisingly you get to choose any combination of toppings even on slices, which are then cooked to order. Additionally there are several slightly unusual toppings to choose from including sauerkraut, artichoke hearts, and anchovies. The crust was crisp, the mushrooms were fresh, and the sause had just a slight spiciness to it. Very, very good.

Who knew we had such a good pizza place close to us! Excellent pizza. I think the secret is in the sauce which is really good. I also think the staff was extra helpful and friendly. Definitely recommended.
