We purchased our kitchen table and chairs here about 6 years ago. My parents had a table from the same company that has endured the rest of being a family kitchen table for 20+ years. I love their table so I was happy to pay the admittedly high price for mine. It is beautifully constructed and sturdy. However, they must have changed their finishing process or something because the top coat is bubbling for some reason and it it gets rubbed too hard while cleaning or whatever it takes some of the stain off with the top of the bubble for lack of a better descriptor. I reached out to the company to see if they could suggest a solution and their only suggestion was to refinish it. Refinishing a table every 6 years is expensive and getting it to match the chairs would be difficult. I could have gotten a table that would hold up for 6 years at any inexpensive furniture store. I was expecting heirloom quality here and Im extraordinarily disappointed in both the quality of the finish and the companys response to my unhappiness.
