The teachers and staff at St. Joseph Catholic School give our son the care and guidance that he needs to grow intellectually, spiritually and confidently. Our son requires extra attention and instruction and his teachers meet his needs while keeping us informed about his progress. Because we maintain weekly, sometimes daily communication with the teachers, my husband and I can work with and guide our son through a successful school year. St. Joe gives us the personal attention that we are looking for. We are extremely pleased with the St. Joe experience.

This once great institution has undergone a major change in the administration which has been a failed experiment for the past 2 years and has failed my children. I am now paying for tutoring and practically having to home school them. Such a shame... I was forced to remove my youngest after having been there from preschool through 3rd grade due to the inability of this school to educate her, she currently has an "A" average and is having a wonderful experience at Hendricks (thanks to Sylvan Learning Center, Summer Bridge workbooks and the amazing principal and staff). My older daughter attended from preschool through 5th grade, she spent her last two weeks there helping move desks and clean classrooms or watching movies while Hendricks students were working hard to be ready to transition into middle school. My advice to any parent would be to send your child to their pre-school program (it's wonderful) followed by public school here in Shelbyville. Your money would be far better spent on tutoring from Sylvan if necessary. It's sad to lose the religious aspect of the school but my child's education is paramount, religion can come from home and church.

Could not have asked for a better faith based institution that cares for and teaches our children in the highest manner!
