Cypress Grove Rehabilitation Center

Where else can you get the kind of care and therapy that my friend received at Cypress Grove Rehab? It's outstanding! Max and Rachel are the best. The nursing staff is second to none. And the food? Janet is in charge and visited my friend day one. She completely catered to her special needs.

If I could leave sub zero, I would. I am appalled with this facility. My 77 YO mother was admitted yesterday after being released from the hospital for rehabilitation after a bad case of pneumonia. My brother arrived within a couple hours of her admittance and took the attached pics of her bathroom. Please keep in mind, this was supposed to be a room that they had prepared and sanitized for a new resident. As you can see, it doesn't look like it has been cleaned in months. Dried human fluids on the walls and floors, the vents are full of dust & debris and not sure what is in the shower but it definitely shouldn't be there. I'm concerned she will leave sicker than she arrived. I have already reported this to the Indiana Department of Health along with the pics and are working to have her transferred to another facility that we are able to choose. The hospital made the decision to place her in this facility and I'm considering contacting an attorney. Insurance is not the issue as she has top level insurance, not medicare, but the truth of the matter is that even if she were without money or insurance, no one should be living in this unacceptable conditions and especially someone that is already immune deficient. What have we sunk to as humans that we allow other living beings to be placed in a "Health Facility" that has these standards or extreme lack there of?!!! I cannot speak for the staff at this point, but I can only imagine that they care as much as the condition of the room indicates. Please visit any facility before placing your loved one and avoid this one as you have been warned of the condition. This facility should be closed due to sanitary conditions.
