Lake Station Pet Clinic

Just went there to ask about getting a rabies shot for my chihuahua. She has severe seizures, that they are aware of, whenever I bring her thru the doors at any vet clinic. Probably other dog smells. I asked if I could get her rabies shot out in the parking lot and they would not. I'm no vet, but it seems like a small ask to accommodate a special needs animal. Their unflinching protocols should be taken into consideration when choosing this clinic. *Although it "could" pose a safety risk, no evaluation was made to see if it would. There were no discussions as to alternatives and the answer I received was a flat no, end of discussion. It is just my opinion, but I believe I was expected to aquiesce and bring her inside for treatment regardless of the harm to her or, for me to leave and lose my business. I will not subject my loved pet through the trauma of those seizures willingly again. And thanks for the heads-up on looking for alternative options.

I switched to this clinic from my former vet and groomer. The staff is professional, yet patient. And they really do care about my furbaby. He is blind and skittish and they make sure he is comfortable before they do anything to him.

I have taken all of my pets (cats/dog) to Lake Station Pet Clinic and weve had nothing but great experiences. The staff and doctors are friendly, informative and patient.
