From start to finish in the almost year I was with Premier Storage, I have nothing but positive things to say about them. Brittney was helpful with any questions I had from opening my unit, to any issues that arose, and even when moving out. If I need a storage again, I will definitely be back!

Update 2: I just visited my unit to discover that when installing the digital lock I didn't want, they cut up the quite expensive lock I'd bought originally. I was assured this wouldn't happen when they refused to allow for me to be present at the lock changing. Thank god I should be out of here by the end of next month! Update: three weeks out and my gate code still doesn't work and ZERO contact from customer disservice. Their actions speak louder than their words here. TL/DR: Clean facility but no on-site staff, hidden required charges not disclosed until checkout, questionable support, and significant security deficiencies. I was looking for a storage unit to declutter our house before placing it up for sale. I wanted a climate controlled unit, and after looking at several nearby properties, I settled on Premier. I liked their location, the availability of climate controlled units, and they had a "1st month free" promotion at the time. I reserved a unit online about two weeks ago and then completed the rental agreement online on the 29th. Within a few minutes I had an email giving me my unit number and gate combo. I went ahead and tried to go in and check the unit, but my gate code would not work. I tried again on Saturday hoping the gate just needed time to update. No dice. Because it was a holiday weekend I had to wait until Tuesday to be able to reach anyone. They have absolutely NO after hours support. On Tuesday I was finally able to access support. The representitive was polite and seemed knowlegeable. He quickly provided me with an alternative gate code that did work. I was able to find my unit easily only to discover it had a lock on it. I made another call to support and was informed that this lock was present because of that added hidden fee I mentioned above. They are converting all locks to digital locks so users will be able to use a phone app to access their units. Yes, you heard that right, all users will be required to pay $6 a month thats not disclosed until you complete the reservation so they can then be forced to use a lock that will require an app to unlock. Good luck if you have any signal issues, and I'm sure no one will ever hack it and publish that information online like Hyundai owners are dealing with right now. I told them "no thank you" I'll stick with my normal lock but was informed its not optional. They did however give me the combo to the unwanted lock so I was finally able to access my unit. Personally I feel that this policy has nothing to do with "ease of access" for the renters, but instead ease of access for the company in the event a renter defaults and they need to auction off the unit. It will be way easier to use a universal access code, which is a security vulnerability, than to cut off a beefy lock like I had brought. Anyways, it was during this second call that I asked about the gate code I'd been given, because it displayed someone elses name when the gate opened. I learned that they gave me the "mainenance and service workers" code. The entire point to individualized gate codes is to track who enters and exits the facility. A properly implemented security policy would require all individuals needing access to have an individually issued code thats only activated as needed, and inactivated when no longer needed. It takes giving just one wrong person this "universal" code and they'll have access to do whatever they wish whenever they wish and the facility will have no way to track who they might have been. Its now over a week after I completed my rental agreement and my assigned gate code still does not work. I have uncovered multilple security deficiencies that wouldn't be present if a competent security policy was in place, and the lack of on site representation makes dealing with these issues all the more complicated. As a result I made the decision not to store any items of value here, and would not recommend this facility at all until the issues above have been addressed.
